Spotlight Local Pet Centered Business: Fetch Thrift Shop

Aug 2, 2022Misc

One of my clients and her sister introduced me to Fetch Thrift Shop in Boonsboro.  Have you been there? Fetch is like Goodwill and Salvation Army, very popular non-profit thrift shops. Fetch Thrift Shop bravely opened their doors one month after COVID shut everything down. I absolutely fell in love with Fetch Thrift Shop when I walked in the door and not just because there were two adorable cats up for adoption in the front window. You will too. I did not give myself enough time on my first visit to explore everything they have and another trip is in store soon.

Fetch is in the process of getting their non-profit status as 501(c)(3), like Goodwill. They are awaiting the paperwork to confirm their nonprofit status. The thing I love the most about Fetch is 100% of the proceeds from the sale of goods goes to local pet rescues. They accept slightly used donations of glassware, clothing, electronics, kids toys, games, puzzles, clothing (men and women), kitchen small appliances, etc. Local charities may file for one of their monthly or end of year grants for specific purposes like medical funds, senior pets, or emergency funding. Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County, Tip Me Frederick, and Into the Wild Cat Rescue has benefited from their grants in 2020.
